LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens' LEGO version gives us what we want from these games: brick-breaking action, fun puzzles and lots of humor. Supercharging is done through off-frame voices of the movie actors and the opportunity to play through events not shown in the movie. You can try the first level for free, but that's just the beginning of the magical journey.

The game features over 200 playable characters, including Rey, Finn, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Kylo Ren and droids such as C-3PO and BB-8, as well as regular-sized (which can only be used for certain missions) and miniaturized ships. Players are free to explore Jakku, Takodana, D'Qar and Starkiller Base, which all act as mini open worlds. In addition to the film adaptations, the game bridges the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, with Lucasfilm allowing creative freedom in exploring additional content in the characters' backstories.

Players can relive the epic action of the blockbuster films in a way only LEGO can provide, including the Star Wars: The Force Awakens storyline retold through clever and witty LEGO footage. The game will also include previously unknown story content, allowing players to participate in an adventure set in LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens, providing additional insight into the new movie and its characters.

The gameplay is similar to previous Lego video games. A new system including multiple builds is introduced, allowing the player to access various building options. These options can be destroyed and rebuilt in certain bricklaying sections of the game, thus allowing new paths to be blazed through the game world. Players can also hide behind cover and engage in "blaster battles" with enemies throughout the game.
