Incredibox is a music video game in which users can manage a set of seven animated metronomes to create remixes. Once one of the eight versions (or music styles) available is selected, the player is provided with an interface consisting of seven blank characters and twenty sound icons. These icons are divided into the following categories (five per category): Beats, Effects, Melodies and Voices. Each icon is a unique a cappella sound loop to drag and drop Transfer characters (in all versions representing the music composer) from a series of hats, sunglasses, masks, headphones, or other items to characters that can dress them up in the way they are used, allowing them to sing rhythmically to each other. To fine-tune the mix, players can also replace new sounds, mute them, solo one of them, find combinations to unlock animation bonuses and record all these interactions to share on social media via URLs. Contributors can then listen and vote for their favorite tracks all the way up to Incredibox's Top 50 chart. For users who just want to listen to endless remixes, Auto Mode plays a random loop of each version.
