A few years ago, a company called Shinra (earlier called Shinra Engineering Institute) discovered the remains of a creature (Jenova) buried deep in the earth and an energy source called "kono" and used it for research.

There are kono furnaces all over the world where the energy of kono is collected, and Shinra is experimenting with human bodies behind the scenes, and those that fail are erased.

The MoMo is a non-renewable source of life for the planet, and excessive collection will cause the planet to die. The protagonists come from the anti-Shenna organization Avalanche, and in the process of confrontation with Shenron, they gradually understand the essence of MoMo and Jenova and start fighting to save the planet.

Final Fantasy VII has three main main screens, namely the world map, the scenario map and the battle screen. The world map is a 3D model that shows the game's overhead world from a top-down perspective, and players reach various locations by traversing the world map. As is traditional in the series, players can explore the world map in a variety of ways, such as on foot, on land birds, in airships, or by sailing. The game also uses a new vehicle, the Baji car.

In the scene map, players directly operate the character to move, depicting the background of the town, forest and other places for 3D pre-rendered made of 2D images, and in realistic scale. Players can only move around the city "Midgar" at first, but as the game progresses they can tour the entire world. Although the game's plot is mostly developed through player manipulation, many pre-made 3D animations are also used for transitions.

Depending on the terrain and timing of the action, carriages, submarines, airships and other vehicles may stop moving when the player gets on or off the ship. Currently, the only workaround is to restart the game from a data file saved before the error occurred. We recommend saving often and/or using multiple save files. This error occurs most often when the player boards or disembarks a ship in very close proximity to the terrain, and during time-sensitive event activities.
