Wild Ride is different from other racing games because it has many different game modes. As mentioned before, you can use nitrous gas pedals during the game. There are many ways to gain nitrous: destroying other riders' vehicles, using stunts (horizontal spirals, barrel rolls, etc.), gaining nitrous on the track, drifting, clearing obstacles.... However, hitting other drivers' vehicles and walls at high speed will cause the vehicle to be destroyed, after which it will come back to life slightly back from the place where it was destroyed.

Each track (including change tracks) has different ways of playing, the main ones are

Classic race: just like a normal racing game, with a variety of vehicles to get first place.

Contagious race: The gameplay is more special. After a period of time (warm-up time), the driver who is behind (last place) will turn green and become the "infected driver". The infected driver will have unlimited nitrous, but there will be a timer, and after the time is up, it will explode (infected overload). The explosion is equivalent to damage, but the driver will recover and will not explode again until he/she is hit by another infected driver or hit by another infected driver. The infected driver can extend the time until the explosion by destroying other driver's vehicle and getting nitrous gain on the track.

Elimination: After a period of time from the start of the race, the last place driver's timer will turn red. After the timer is up that driver will explode (eliminated) and will not be revived again.

Crash Race: There are two main players, one is the player and the other is the computer. This game mode is to destroy as many vehicles of the other computer as possible within the limited time. If the player crashes more cars than the computer at the end of the race time, he wins the race, and vice versa.

Match Race: The mechanics are the same as Classic, but there are only two drivers: the player and the computer. The rest of the gameplay is the same as Classic.
